**The Role at a glance:**
We are looking to add a Director, Procurement to our Procurement and Shared Services team in Houston, TX. As a Procurement Director, you will be responsible for development and execution of category strategies through implementation of vendor contracts, leading the negotiation and management of national contracts for specific product lines, and Identify opportunities for reducing the total cost of product. If you are someone who works well collaborating but also has a strong sense of self direction, you will thrive here, as you will be the product category point-of-contact for our procurement team, as well as the broader organization.

**What
you'll be doing:**
+ Leading Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Pricing (RFP) events, including preparation of RFX documents, evaluation of bid responses, and pricing negotiations.
+ Negotiating supplier agreements that deliver value to market segments and functional departments.
+ Managing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with agreement terms and conditions and to strategize new opportunities to deliver value to the organization.
+ Developing procurement programs that support our company initiatives, including Supplier Diversity and Sustainability goals.
+ Continuously evaluating and improving procurement practices, with a focus on sourcing; budgeting and forecasting supply chain revenue; analysis of spending to identify opportunities in non-contracted areas; and ensuring a strategic sourcing process for assigned categories.
+ Build and maintain strategic relationships with each assigned operational market segment, and functional stakeholder for cost reduction; program implementation; and problem resolution.
+ Support integration of companies into the organization after acquisition.
+ Support technology initiatives within the supply chain - e.g. RFP tools, P to P and contractual / vendor compliance.
**What we're looking for:**
_Must-haves:_
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
+ At least seven years' experience in procurement.
+ Experience with supply chain procurement contracts.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Broad knowledge and technical expertise in managed categories.
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the year.
_Nice-to-haves:_
+ Experience in Indirect and/or Direct Spend.
+ Leadership experience.
+ Experience in a matrixed environment.
**Where you'll be working:**
This role is in Houston, TX at 4920 Westway Park Blvd and the expectation is that you would be in office 4 days a week.
