Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? As a SDET/QE you will design solutions to testing problems the business faces through the implementation of contextually relevant process and practice, the use of tools and technology, and by applying soft skills such as effective communication in industry-standard & RBC sanctioned Quality Engineering methodologies. You are a technical specialist focusing on test case design, implementation, use & enablement of the QE function and will provide technical test design and planning in your area of expertise. You'll follow the leadership and strategic direction of your assigned Senior QE manager in the organization: What will you do? Support the Senior QE Manager in achieving their strategic goals for the QE Team by providing technical support to the team Accountable to provide application subject matter expertise and leadership on test case design and test architecture, including integration & end-to-end testing. Support leadership in the execution of operational testing frameworks, processes and tools, and utilization of organizational change management practices to drive support and empower staff in assigned unit. Provide recommendations and contribute to test strategy & technical solutions in area of expertise, including leading QE work streams. Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through optimized test case design, test architecture and utilization of automation frameworks in assigned unit, What do you need to succeed? Must-have Hands-on experience with test case design to provide efficient optimal coverage though unit test, component/service based tests and complex "real life" test scenarios Advanced knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration Minimum 3 years of experience designing test cases with a focus on optimized test design techniques with automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases) Knowledge of methodologies, frameworks and best practices (Agile and Iterative Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma Hands-on programming experience (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying) Nice to Have Experience using test case optimization tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise, etc. Experience working with Agile or Iterative Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle What's in it for you?
