Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior SDET Quality Engineer you will support the Sr. QE Manager or QE Director in achieving their strategic goals for the QE Team by providing leadership, technical support to the team, design solutions to testing problems the business faces via relevant process and practice, the use of tools and technology and by applying soft skills such as effective communication and mentoring of QE staff and other project team members in industry-standard & RBC sanctioned Quality Engineering methodologies What will you do? Responsible for Test Strategy/ Planning, Perform manual and automated testing, Track & Manage test execution, defects triage including test status reporting. Automate assigned areas/feature using existing Framework and provide the test estimations Create and review Test Plan/Execution document, Test Suite, Traceability matrix etc. and walkthrough with different teams, plan and coordinate defect triage Collaborate with other areas Test Leads, Software Quality Engineers, Business Analysts and IT staff to identify and improve testing tools and processes Ensure test cases are integrated into automation framework (iCAP) within sprint where possible Co-ordinate with impacted application team for end to end/ integration testing AND work with BAs/ business users for UAT support What do you need to succeed? Must-have 5+ years of experience designing test cases with a focus on optimized test design techniques with automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases) API testing experience using Postman and SOAPUI Expertise developing and implementing efficient test case design and test architecture techniques, automation framework(s) & automation strategies Proven experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/Rest Assured/Robot Framework, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.) Engage in resource planning, scheduling, and financial forecasting: Provide effort and resource estimates to Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, QE Manager & QE Director for all QE and Testing-related deliverables and tasks Nice-to-have QA related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing etc. Experience using test case optimization tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise, iCAP etc. Prior experience working in a bank or financial institution What's in it for you?
