Job Description:
Responsibilities
The Health Program Administrator I (HPA I) will manage contracts that provide Ryan White Part B supportive services for persons living with HIV. Programs are funded to provide legal services, benefits counseling, case management, health education, medical transportation, housing, food, and nutrition services, and/or services for people aging with HIV. The HPA I will complete assessments of provider performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with program work plans, standards, and goals. The HPA l will conduct site visits and program monitoring; review monthly/quarterly narrative reports and monthly data reports; provide technical assistance and guidance as needed; review and approve continued funding applications, budget modifications, and vouchers; prepare narrative and statistical reports; participate in and/or lead team meetings, Quality Improvement and work groups as requested; participate in competitive procurement reviews; contribute to AIDS Institute, Bureau of Community Support Services and community program planning and development activities; and perform other appropriate related duties as assigned.
With a focus on health equity, these programs advance the health equity goals of the AIDS Institute and prioritize serving communities that are disproportionately impacted by HIV including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and persons experiencing challenges related to social determinants of health.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one (1) year of experience providing technical assistance to health and human service providers. Experience working with diverse communities and groups. At least three (3) years of experience working with an HIV service provider. At least one (1) year of grant management experience. At least three (3) years of program coordination or management experience.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
