POSITION SUMMARYThe Vice President of Quality is responsible for all aspects of Corporate Quality System and compliance to ISO 9001 quality requirements. This position must manage incoming material quality, production adherence to quality standards and customer specifications and act as liaison to marketplace for customer quality satisfaction. Individual provides leadership for continuous quality improvement to help meet company expectations on efficiency, cost and customer satisfaction.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M. culture.Responsible for the development and implementation of the Quality Management System.Develops work instructions and responsible for all revisions of procedures.Responsible for the completion of all customer required documents PPAP's, Part Submission Reports, NAFTA's etc.Responsible for coordinating all customer quality audits, registrar audits and internal quality audits.Stays up to date with relevant industry standards (including customer, statutory and regulatory requirements) and technology to provide appropriate direction to executive management.Create and communicate an overall vision for quality within the company, setting goals and recommending organizational changes to achieve these goals.Responsible for all calibrations on Mic's, calipers, Tape measures, scales and the maintaining the Calibration report.Communicate the company's quality system to customers.Create an environment conducive to continuous quality improvement and implements systems to nurture quality excellence.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Although no direct reports, the position will assist oversee the quality department's initiatives and processes for the entire organization. This position will assist team members as needed, serve on committees and special teams and perform other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESWorking knowledge and experience in ISO 9001, IAFT 16949, ISO 17025Strong knowledge of material standards, such as ASTM, SAE, etc.Strong knowledge and frequent utilization of Continuous Improvement Tools, such as 6S, 8D, PDCA)Ability to adapt to a changing environment and understand industry trendsAbility to communicate with people outside the organization, represent the organization to customers, the public, and ability to articulate conversations well to convey information effectively.Proficient in basic Microsoft programs and windows-based applicationsKnowledge of capability of all processing equipment for the purpose of slitting, blanking and cutting to length.Strong organizational skills, including prioritizing tasks, time management, etc.Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSAssociate's or bachelor's degree, required.Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Quality Manager role or equivalentIndustry knowledge and experience, preferred.LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONSISO Auditor (with emphasis on IATF 16949)Core Tools including PPAP, APQP.
