Job Overview :
Location: Morganfield, KY (Evansville, IN Metro)
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Quality Manager to oversee and ensure the highest quality standards in our Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing facility. This role is pivotal to driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with quality systems such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949. The Quality Manager will manage all aspects of quality assurance and control, including training, evaluation, and guidance of team members, while ensuring operational metrics are met to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the Quality Department, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards in line with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.Oversee the execution and monitoring of quality-related operational metrics and KPIs, ensuring they align with both strategic and operational goals.Evaluate, train, and coach team members for current and future quality demands to meet organizational objectives.Ensure all certifications and qualifications are maintained and up-to-date for the department, adjusting team capabilities as needed.Conduct statistical analysis, including probability and capability studies, to identify trends and areas for improvement in the production process.Interpret blueprints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT) to validate product conformity to specifications.Provide leadership in resolving quality issues and driving corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence of defects or non-conformities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and supply chain to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.Work closely with Tier 1 suppliers and OEM customers to ensure product quality and address any customer concerns promptly.Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in a technical field; or a two-year technical degree combined with relevant experience/training; or equivalent education and experience.Proven ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, capability, and statistical analysis.Strong background in reading blueprints and applying GDT (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).Experience as a Quality Manager or Engineer in a Tier 1 Automotive environment or a similar role in another industry.Solid understanding and hands-on experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to train, evaluate, and guide team members.Proven track record of leading teams and managing quality functions to meet both strategic and operational objectives.Compensation & Benefits :
Competitive salary range between $100,000 - $120,000 annually.10% variable compensation based on performance.401(k) match up to 4%.Comprehensive health benefits package.
