Job title - Interior Designerlocation - Birmingham, Alabama, United StatesOur end-client has an opening for an Interior Designer to join their Birmingham office. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program. A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience is preferred. Applicant must demonstrate an ability to perform a variety of interior design project assignments under the general supervision of a senior project manager. The Interior Designer will have direct working contact with client representatives to develop functional, sustainable and aesthetic designs. Responsibilities will focus on program development, space planning, construction documents, FF&E selection/specification, development of sketches and renderings and coordination with interior design elements on architecture projects. Project types will include Workplace, Multi-Family and Hospitality.Position Requirements:Knowledge of design trends, construction methods, and material applications.Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art, and accessories.Manage project coordination between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of construction documents.Advanced knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).Strong organizational skills, time management skills, written and oral communication skills.Ability to collaborate and integrate with the existing team.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited university.5 - 7 years of project experience within an architecture and interior design practice (preferably hospitality, program, and/or workplace design).Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).Must be a professional Interior Designer, registered in the State of Alabama.Advanced credentials desired (LEED AP, WELL AP).regardsmark putrell
