Group/DivisionWith over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.
Job Description/Preferred QualificationsThis Process & Quality engineering manager role will manage a team that develops sophisticated processes for next generation electron optics inspection systems. The candidate will assume responsibility for ensuring subsystem build process development and quality of incoming parts, working with vendors. They will work towards significantly reducing overall subsystem build times. They will improve existing methodologies for new process development, monitoring existing processes, and establishing process control criterions. They will work with the larger team, provide coaching and contribute to improve quality & process flow.Key responsibilities:Manage team to lead quality control & internal process Engineering R&D projects.Support correlation studies between build data and tool performance data.Identify and initiate projects to address quality related challenges.Develop plan to reduce sub-system build times.Perform hands-on work to conduct tests and monitoring process performance through data analytics SW such as JMP.Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.Make detailed records of results and contribute to written reports or presentations as required.Build vendor relationships to improve incoming part quality. Work to match supplier metrologies & streamline manufacturing process.Improve process monitoring through SPC methodology, root cause analysis.Desired skills:Ingenuity for using the broad concepts of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, System Engineering, or Quality/Manufacturing and applying them to address specific production problems.Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to look at problems from multiple viewpoints.Ability to lead, manage and persuade others to change work practices.In-depth understanding of process engineering software and systems.Familiarity with process tools such as TCB equipment and characterization techniques such as SEM, optical tools for metrology, CMM, MS, FTIR, XRF, elemental analysis etc.Strong expertise in statistical analysis tools, SPC methodology, DOE, data analytics using JMP or other statistical software.Minimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) with at least 6 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
