The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsThe Advanced Technology of RAPID Division is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to develop cutting-edge reticle inspection products. The candidate will be part of the team responsible for system architecture definition, modeling, design, integration, and characterization of reticle inspection systems for the semiconductor industry.Responsibilities:Execute technology integration activities and work on systems related integration, automation, and testing activities.Engage with cross-function teams on technical simulation, product development and system engineering to meet the target product requirements.Contribute ideas and insights to testing methodologies, applications, techniques, or procedures.Develop process architectures and functional specifications based on product and automation workflow requirements.Document process integration, potential issues, and test plans for managers and engineers.Make suggestions that involve the consideration of complex issues.Work autonomously and check-in with supervisor/project lead as decisions are made.Respond to change with flexibility and adapt quickly.Provide support and response to complex system problems, counseling the internal and external vendors on corrective and preventative actions.Ensure both new and existing instrumentation automation and non-automation meet safety requirements and compliance standards.Ability to comply with all applicable personal protective equipment requirements.Qualifications:Pursuing a PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Plasma Physics, or similar field.Technical proficiency and experience in automation, system development, and integration in a laboratory or product development environment.Hands-on experience in semiconductor processing and automation such as gas recycling, deposition, etch, plasma processing, and plasma source development are highly preferred.Experience with statistical process control and design of experiments is a valued qualification.Experience in process optimization involving complex workflows comprising both system equipment and software components to ensure product requirements are met.Must have a good understanding of laser, optics, vacuum, clean gases, plasma, metrology, mechanical, motion control and software systems and their interactions in sophisticated industrial equipment.Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to develop system requirements.
