As the
Test Cell Crew Chief
at StandardAero, you will serve as the technical lead in the Engine Shop, supervising the test cell crew and ensuring overall performance excellence. You will be responsible for all technical operations on assigned engines, APUs or modification orders, while ensuring safe work practices are consistently employed.
What You Will Do
Supervise and lead the Test Cell / Engine Shop crew to maintain high performance and adherence to safety standards on each job.Monitor hours charged to jobs to control costs and approve technicians' time for accuracy.Maintain effective communication to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.Pre-plan work scope and action plans for incoming jobs, including ordering parts as needed.Implement and manage all paperwork related to job orders, conducting final reviews of documentation before submission for quality assurance.Provide quotes for labor and parts needed when discrepancies arise.Monitor progressive sign-offs to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.Serve as the technical expert on assigned engine types, performing hands-on maintenance as required.Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, and final inspections of aircraft or components.Interact with customers to provide technical guidance and support.Basic Qualifications
Valid FAA Airframe &Powerplant license.High school diploma or equivalentProven experience in a leadership role within an aviation maintenance environment.Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and operations, particularly on assigned fleet types.Excellent planning, organization, communication (both oral and written), and decision-making skills.Must be authorized to work in the US.Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting, calibrating, and supervising in a test cell environment.Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environments.Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and systems.Experience with Honeywell propulsion engine and APU products.Benefits That Make Life Better
