HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible to oversee and direct the Mechanical Engineering Team in their day-to-day technical activities. The Engineering Supervisor reviews the workloads and assigns the team members technical support tasks in relation to specific projects, programs, and products for the Thin Film Group. In addition, the Engineering Supervisor is responsible for enforcing project timelines and holding the team accountable to the deliverables set forth by the project, the customer, and the organization. The Engineering Supervisor will be the linkage between internal departmental customers (Sales, Electrical, Software, Production, Quality and Process) to ensure success throughout the organization. Additionally, the Engineering Supervisor will ensure the timely responses to customer needs pertaining to Ferrotec spares, retrofits, system and components orders as well as the Sales Teams inquires for customizations and technical questions. The Engineering Supervisor will assist the Managing Director with assignments to Engineers as directed and/or when necessary.
Reports to the Director of Engineering and/or the General Manager, Thin Film Group.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Supervises mechanical engineering team and performs performance reviews of staff members.
Prioritizes departmental workload and manages schedule.
Collaborates with all engineering stakeholders and documentation control to operate, maintain, and iterate as needed the Thin Films Groups ECN process.
Maintains or supervises the storage and maintenance of CAD files, 2D Drawings, Drawing Templates, and Policies and Procedures.
Reviews ECNs for technical merit, accuracy and completeness
Organizes in design reviews, MRB’s and customer meetings as needed
Reviews all system release ECNS against Thin Film TOW (Technical Order Worksheets) to insure accuracy and purchase order compliance.
Initiates and fosters collaborative partnerships with internal departments, customers, and suppliers; develops relationships that support increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and growth.
Participates in the development of business and/or technology vision, strategies, critical success factors and operating plans for the Thin Film Group.
Directs appropriate support and/or works with Sales, Operations, and Quality Assurance to promote efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Provides and directs technical resources to support manufacturing and assembly during the build of prototypes or production runs.
Discuss and consults with Engineers, Sales, or Customer on product requirements and specifications where design or manufacturing problems are involved. Provide Solutions
Interfaces with other departments to provide effective technical support for company’s business goals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
BSME degree, 8+ years’ experience as a design engineer in a related technical field
Strong organizational skills
Able to lead a team and get the most out of them.
Able to manage complex technology development concepts, capabilities, and maturity.
Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative, communication, presentation and management skills, strong judgment, and ability to effectively liaise with cross functional stakeholders and optimize teams.
Demonstrated ability to operate collaboratively and build consensus. In-depth knowledge of technology standards and guidelines; knowledge of management concepts, practices, and techniques; thorough knowledge of business functions and operations, objectives, and strategies
Strong leadership skills and ability to work across the organization.
Lead team meetings and can provide updates very clearly and concisely.
Physical & Environmental requirements:
Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Constantly doing sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
