Position Summary

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Director, you will be responsible for ownership of the management reporting process and consolidation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for the HCB segment. In this role you will own the creation of executive level decks including the CFO Deck, President’s Deck and Aetna and CVS Monthly Operating / Business Review financial materials. As Lead Director, this position will collaborate with Senior Leadership (HCB President, HCB CFO, segment presidents and chiefs of staffs and segment CFOs) and lead cross functional teams across a wide variety of constituents including business finance, actuarial, and expense management This individual will be expected to be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple activities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, with ability to work independently within guidance frame defined by management – includes financial reporting/analysis at both regular and ad hoc frequencies.

You will accomplish this by:

• Partnering with Health Care Benefits segment leadership to understand and message key drivers of actual financial results vs. prior periods and vs. budget/forecast

• Overseeing the use of data analytics tools including, but not limited to, Alteryx and Tableau, to further our financial analysis, enhance reporting and to provide different cuts of data that offer a more illustrative view of results

• Exhibiting technical knowledge of financial systems (Hyperion, Oracle, etc..)

• Leveraging strong financial modeling skills (Excel and advanced functions like Macros, Index Match etc.)

• Assisting in the development of ad-hoc analyses and impactful, actionable financial recommendations for senior leadership

• Fostering a high-performing team that is clear on priorities and accountabilities, aligned on deliverables and key milestones/timelines and produce high-quality results

• Displaying strong communication and presentation skills

• Designing and executing process improvements

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive finance, consulting, healthcare, or other aligned experience

• At least 3 years of managing cross-functional matrixed partners and stakeholders

• At least 3 years of overseeing and executing multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

• Collaboration and teamwork skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Ability to Build Trust across Business Partners

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Health insurance industry work experience

• Hyperion experience a plus

• Growth mindset

Education

Bachelors Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
