Role Overview:

The Senior Manufacturing Manager - Component Repair Operations will spearhead our operations at Strother Field, Kansas, playing a pivotal role in the overhaul and maintenance of a wide range of engine models including CF34-8, CF34-10, CFM56, PP20, T700, CT7, YT706, F110, and F118. This leadership position involves direct oversight of over 170 skilled mechanics, machinists, and technicians across two shifts, with more than 10 direct reports.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Leadership: Serve as a safety ambassador, fostering a culture of safety first. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Effective Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication within the team and across departments. Establish and maintain communication channels with key stakeholders.

Strategic Leadership and Execution: Guide the component repair team towards achieving excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Develop strategies for optimal resource utilization and continuous improvement.

Financial Management: Oversee financial aspects, including expense reviews and capacity planning. Ensure compliant asset management and inventory control.

Lean Implementation: Advocate for and implement lean principles through GE Aerospace's proprietary FLIGHT DECK operating system to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within the Aviation industry.

Proficiency in machining and inspection methods pertinent to aerospace engine repairs.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
