REX HILL Winery in Newberg, OR is seeking a Direct to Consumer (DTC) Operations Specialist. This is a versatile position, responsible for operational and administrative support of the DTC department, including Wine Club, E-commerce, Tasting Room, and our Events/Hospitality channels. Energized by the pursuit of excellence, the DTC Operations Specialist applies their technical and practical experience and strong organizational skills to understand, execute on, and improve DTC performance across channels. Ultimately, this role combines a passion for wine, hospitality, customer service, and operational acumen to build brand loyalty and achieve sales goals.Job ResponsibilitiesWine Club:Collaborate with Direct Sales Operations Manager to organize and execute on all facets of Wine Club business.Serve as the lead on all club member communication.Oversee the Will Call process, including tracking orders, pick-up notifications, inventory reconciliations, and managing unclaimed orders.Educate DTC staff on Wine club benefits, shipments, and sales initiatives, supported by the Direct Sales Operations Manager.
E-Commerce:Collaborate with Direct Sales Operations Manager to achieve e-commerce sales goals via strategic sales initiatives.Partner with Direct Sales Operations Manager & Marketing partners to create and implement e-commerce strategies, including email campaigns and promotions.Oversee and maintain e-commerce sales systems, including sales platforms, databases, management, order and shipment processing, issue research and resolution, & inventory management.
Tasting Room:Provide exceptional wine presentations and guest education, ensuring all guests receive a VIP experience.Assist with Tasting Room operational and administrative tasks to meet sales goals, including order processing, POS support, event setup, and customer service.
General Operational Support:Generate regular and ad hoc reports for performance tracking.Serve as department point person on wine inventory management, including item set up within sales and compliance systems to ensure appropriate movement/transfer/orders of wine inventory between locations.Must be able to build proficiency in additional DTC operation systems and processes, to serve as backup for other DTC operations within the organization.Partner with multiple departments for efficient and effective DTC department operations.
Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent minimum requirement, associate's degree preferred.Minimum of one year of administrative experience required.Must be 21 years of age with a valid OLCC card.Prior experience in hospitality or hosting, with a focus on wine preferred.Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems such as Wine Direct, D365, or Commerce7 well beyond simple guest order entry.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel required.Able to stand for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. up and down stairs.Ability to reliably get to and from off-site events.Schedule flexibility needed for weekend, holiday, and occasional evening shifts.
