Beyond Gravity USA is seeking someone to provide engineering expertise to development projects and series production programs in all relevant fields. This includes experience in metallic and composite structures for launchers, spacecraft and non-space applications, as well as thermal elements.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Analysis and System Engineering team which is responsible for performing all required structural analysis and certification of the vehicle while also ensuring it meets customer and regulatory requirements Serve as US technical authority for Analysis and System engineering, with ownership of relevant requirements and certification activities; customer along with Engineering Tool Kit and methodologies Manage the International Teams day-to-day tasks of direct headcount as well as contractor and external suppliers as needed Provide leadership and functional direction for the team in line with Beyond Gravitys Values and Code of Conduct, driving the people and leadership development within the department Hire, coach, and mentor the team to provide thorough analysis and dispositions, growing the US teams competence to be 100% self sufficient Define roadmaps, schedules, organize and prioritize the work, track and communicate progress on all products and initiatives
Job Requirements:
Education in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering; M.Sc. level preferred Proven expertise and track record in structural Engineering (metallic and composites) Broad understanding, competence and experience in Engineering processes, tools, and methodologies Know-how of relevant Engineering tools, PLM and interfaces Excellent capacity-, budget planning expertise and communication skills Experience in management of larger organizations in an international environment, preferred Know-how of Space Products and Subsystems design, development, and verification- (DDV) as well as testing, preferred Engineering know how from adjacent industries (Aeronautics, Semiconductor, Internet,), preferred Solution driven, willing to make a difference, service provider mindset, strong customer experience thinking Strong motivator with high energy level and persistence to overachieve goals Cooperative leader who puts success of team first, willing to share experience and knowledge Open-minded, strong communicator and networker, willingly involves others and shares information Logic and concise thinker, capable of finding simple solutions for complex problems without oversimplifying
