Job Summary:

The Operations Business Analyst role is to plan, design, develop, launch and maintain operational systems in support of core operational business functions through problem solving, root cause analysis and correct actions. Serving as a strategic operational resource through the usage of Crane Business system tools. Role carries direct responsibility for performing relatively complex assignments that affect business operations to a moderate degree.

Essential Functions:

Lead design sessions in prototyping new Business Intelligence (BI) tools for the purpose of enhancing operational processes and information process flow

Collaborate in the design, development, and deployment of new BI applications and enhancements to existing applications

Analyze information to identify adverse trends that require corrective action and system improvements

Work with procedure and system users to provide training, solicit ideas for improvement, improve processes, implement new or revised procedures

Maintain the various Operations Bowler scorecards that monitor Safety, Quality, Development, Cost and Growth

Lead Kaizen events to drive completion of solutions

Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing production environment

Knowledge: Working knowledge of manufacturing technologies and operational performance metrics. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the aerospace field

Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; effective and consistent decision-making skills; Ability to work multiple problems/issues simultaneously; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment. Demonstrated ability to rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Education/Certification: BA or BS degree in Business or technical field or equivalent experience in an aerospace environment.

Eligibility Requirement:

This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with QLIK and/or Power BI

Previous experience with Oracle

Working Conditions:

Standard office environment

Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confided spaces, dust or fumes

Required approximately 10% travel to support A&E

Standing: 30% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Sitting: 70% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Lifting (in pounds): up to 10 pounds

Pushing (in pounds): up to 10 pounds

Mental/Visual: Use of computer

Workspace (line, cube, etc): Office

Top Benefits:

Salary range: $86.736.00 to 108,430.40.

Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
