Job Description:

The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for

one (1) Full-Time, Permanent

Procurement & Contract Specialist 2 position.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. Prior to applying you should ensure all sections of your Workday Job History page is accurate and complete. This information is utilized during the pay equity analysis phase.

Summary of Job Duties:

In this position, you will be a direct report to the Director of Procurement/DPO and will provide procurement related functions to carry out the agency mission and duties. You will apply appropriate state and federal procurement laws, rules, policies, and procedures to carry out their duties. You will provide service and support to OSP sworn and professional staff throughout Oregon.

You will use a range of purchasing and contracting methods to procure goods and services. This includes, but is not limited to: capital assets, equipment, supplies, and services.

You will communicate, coordinate, and interact with the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and Department of Justice (DOJ) for legal sufficiency or other regulatory reviews.

You will be responsible to keep abreast of changes within the procurement processing steps, due to changes in state law, regulations, policy, or management directives.

Minimum Qualifications/Eligibility Requirements:

Four years procurement and contract experience related to the position. Two of the four years must have been at the professional-level such as developing and administering standard contracts, agreements, or solicitations.

OR

A bachelor's degree and one year of professional-level procurement and contract experience related to the position.

OR

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to four years of procurement and contract experience related to the position.
