QUALIFICATIONS
Education & ExperienceMaster's degree from an accredited educational institution in one of the following areas:
Social workSocial WelfareMarriage, Family, and Child CounselingChild PsychologyChild DevelopmentCounseling PsychologySocial Psychology
At least three semester units or 100 days of field practice or experience in a public or private social service agency at the Master's Degree LevelAt least nine semester units of coursework related to children and families or 18 months experience in working with children and familiesAt least three semester units in working with minority populations; six months of experience in working with minority populations, or six months in-service training in working with minority populations within the first year of employment as a condition of employmentThree years of full-time social work or casework employment in the field of family or child welfare services OR two years of full-time social work or casework employment in a licensed foster family or adoption agencyPrevious management experience highly preferredDemonstrated a high level of supervisory and administrative skills to assure the effective operation of the programMust have sufficient experience and knowledge in the area of social work, supervision, and the child welfare system
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manager Specific
Assists the Program Director in maximizing the effectiveness of services provided to youth and their familiesManages the day-to-day operations of the program through effective leadership, providing an ongoing assessment of program, reporting to the Director any deficiencies and plans of correctionResponsible for meeting all outcomes as documented in their Employee Development PlanTakes active role in recruitment, hiring, development, evaluation, and termination of staffIn coordination with Human Resources, develops a plan for the orientation, development, and ongoing training of staffProvides leadership, direct supervision, training, and support to team members including: regular one-to-one consultation meetings, regular assessment of performance, and routine provision of feedback as it pertains to job performance, professional development, and program and agency job specific expectationsReviews and approves all documentation prepared by the program staffEnsures documentation is compliant with regulatory and contractual requirementsEnsures the provision of services to our clients with appropriate regard to their physical and mental well-beingReviews complaints generated by clients, their representatives, and/or other agents and develop plans to address each complaint satisfactorilyParticipates in on-call rotationPosition Specific
Provide case management services during transitional program growth periodsProvide back-up services to Social Workers during the worker's vacation and during emergenciesAssist in Foster Parent/Resource Parent Pre-Service and Advanced training which may include weeknights and weekendsExercise sound clinical judgment in responding to potential placement calls, evaluating client needs and foster family/resource family openingsFacilitation of pre-placement visits, when neededMeet with foster parents, children and county placement workers as appropriate when behavioral and/or program issues warrant supervisory review and interventionStay abreast of foster home placement trends and issuesAssist in the coordination of foster parent recognition and retention functions and eventsEnsure compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations and assist Director with CCL Administrative dutiesAssist with planning and implementation of recruitment/retention activities which may include weeknights and weekendsAgency Specific

Employment At-WillEmployment at the Agency is terminable at-will, which means that employment may beterminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency. Starting Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE
