Ingredient Sales Executive Description

Our client in the functional and nutritional ingredient industry is looking for an Ingredient Sales Executive to add to their team in Union, NJ. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you will be responsible for hunting down new leads utilizing proven networking tools and securing new clients/contracts for the company. The average sale is $50k and takes anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 months to close, depending on size and complexity. Commission is paid quarterly. You will be given every tool for success, including the undivided attention of company sales executives. Every barrier to success will be removed.

Our client is looking for someone who can hold a technical conversation regarding functional ingredients and loves to sell them. To be successful in the role, you must have at least three years of sales experience and be very familiar with functional, natural, or nutritional ingredients. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company with an expanding customer base and earn unlimited commission.

Ingredient Sales Executive Responsibilities

• Network and attend tradeshows• Hunt and prospect for new business• Generate sales with new and existing accounts• Develop and maintain customer relationships• Recommend potential add-ons• Follow up on quotes• Stay current on industry knowledge• Coordinate with cross-functional departments• Maintain and track data in CRM• Achieve quote to sales conversion targets• Assist with innovative customer solutions

Ingredient Sales Executive Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required• 3+ years of proven sales experience required• Familiarity with nutraceuticals, OR functional, natural, or nutritional ingredients required• Ability to travel to meet customers required (both domestic and international travel possible)
