is the premier provider of Assisted Living and Memory Care services in Southern Arizona. Family-owned and operated since 2003, Via Elegante is a growing company of healthcare professionals who enjoy working in a supportive and challenging environment. At Via Elegante, we cultivate a positive and professional culture for both our residents and our team. As we prepare for rapid growth, we seek a dynamic HR leader to join us as Regional Director of Human Resources, who can be both a strategic leader and a hands-on executor, to help strengthen our people processes and drive our teams to provide exceptional resident care.
In the coming year, we plan to implement a new HRIS system and transition from a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) model to a fully in-house platform for managing benefits, employee scheduling, and overall employee management. We are also preparing for significant growth and prefer candidates with a proven track record in handling the HR complexities associated with opening new facilities, acquiring existing ones, or merging with other entities.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Implementation and Transition from PEO Model:Lead the company-wide implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to streamline payroll, benefits administration, and overall employee management.Manage the transition from a PEO model to an in-house payroll and benefits platform, ensuring smooth integration of all systems and processes.Provide training to leadership and employees on the new HRIS system, focusing on optimizing usage and improving efficiency across the organization.Ensure seamless onboarding of benefits, overseeing vendor relationships during the transition phase.Strategic Leadership and Hands-On Execution:
Balance being a strategic leader and a hands-on HR professional by both setting the long-term vision and getting involved in the daily operations when needed.Lead HR strategy while also rolling up your sleeves to execute initiatives directly, especially during times of change, growth, and system transitions.Identify high-level opportunities for improvement but also take ownership of implementing solutions, driving both strategy and execution at the ground level.Rapid Growth and Change Management:
Play a key role in integrating new employees, systems, and processes during periods of rapid growth, ensuring a smooth transition and cultural alignment.Lead efforts to scale HR operations to meet the needs of a rapidly growing company, including workforce planning, compliance, and HR infrastructure.Analyze HR needs for expansion and develop strategic initiatives to support growth across multiple locations.Employee Relations and Satisfaction:
Foster a positive and professional work environment, upholding Via Elegante's culture and values.Lead HR projects for increased efficiency and employee satisfaction.Address employee concerns professionally and in a timely manner.Actively communicate and train team members on company culture.Lead or assist with investigations as needed.Workforce Management:
Work with community Executive Directors to understand hiring and staffing needs.Ensure appropriate coverage and staffing for all locations, with a 24/7 workforce.Track and improve hiring key performance indicators.Manage others, delegate responsibility, and provide support.Compliance and Leadership:
Oversee all HR operations to ensure they align with the company's goals for growth and compliance.Develop and implement policies that adhere to state and federal regulations, especially within the senior care industry.Act as a strategic HR partner to executive leadership, advising on workforce planning, organizational structure, and employee-related matters while also directly implementing necessary HR operational changes.Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding:
Oversee open positions.Craft and execute recruiting strategies aligned with company goals.Ensure equitable and fair hiring practices.Manage and oversee the company's onboarding and training processes.Regulatory Compliance and Training:
Stay updated on state and federal regulations within the senior care industry.Stay informed on employment legislation.Develop and implement effective training plans.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.Respond, coordinate, and oversee workers' compensation claims and employee benefits.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certifications preferred, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Director or senior leadership role.Proven experience with HRIS implementation and transitioning from a PEO model to in-house HR systems.Demonstrated ability to manage HR as both a strategic and operational leader in high-growth environments, including scaling processes and teams, preferably through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with experience in HR due diligence and integration planning.Experience working with a 24/7 workforce, preferably in healthcare, senior care, or hospitality industries.Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Programs.Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Amazing interpersonal communication skills across all levels.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Compensation and Benefits:
