The Presidio Trust is seeking a Project Controls Specialist who will support the Capital Projects Department. Reporting to the Director of Capital Projects, the Project Controls Specialist is responsible for overseeing schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities as well as project budget/actual monitoring; and for preparing, reviewing and presenting integrated budgets and schedules. This role provides project management services throughout the project phases in project planning, contracting design, pre-construction, construction and project closeout. Projects cover wide range of product types such as buildings, utilities, parks and landscape.

This is a full-time position with benefits and a starting pay range of $108,547 to $123,745, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The starting base salary is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Applications received by October 25, 2024 will receive first consideration.

Responsibilities

Develop and build project schedule with project manager. Monitor and update as required. Integrate with consultants and contractors' schedules.Develop and build project budgets with project manager, forecasting labor and non-labor for all project phases, including contingencies. Monitor and update as required. Work with Senior Project Controls Specialist and project manager to conduct financial analyses at the contract/project level to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.Prepare contract/invoice reclassifications and de-obligations, track contract and modifications, and review invoices with special attention to change order and retention tracking.Support project manager and construction managers on analysis of impacts due to changes in construction conditions to determine the time, value, and merit of the change and develop recovery plan for schedule, budget and quality project problems and risk mitigation.Create and manage trackers for project status and metrics, comparing forecasts to actuals for performance data related to budget, schedule and qualify. Includes reporting to the project manager up to Trust leadership.Document information, findings, observations, recommendations and oversee project records management activities.Assists in Departmental efforts to streamline workflow planning and budgeting.Develops and trains departmental staff in project management best practices, includes development and maintenance of templates for project tracking.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Mathematics or Business. Or a related field, ANDFive (5) years' experience in project controls focusing on project and construction management., such as cost control experience including cash flow forecasting and analysis and project planning, scheduling, and progress measurement.Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.Flexibility and ability to change work priorities as needed and to adapt for project differences.Self-driven, results-orientated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communicator across a wide range of audiences.Exceptional customer service skills.Ability to work on a range of projects and manage time accordingly; detail-oriented with great organizational and problem-solving skills.Trustworthy and reliable, and able to work effectively within a team.Desired Qualifications

Experience with Oracle.Experience with Primavera P6.Advanced Excel skills in formulae, functions, macros, pivot table, and charting.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports and statements, basic legal and broad policy documents.Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute.
