Mid-Level Contracts Administrator

Responsibilities

Provide administration of contractual documents and files. Support negotiation of contracts/subcontracts with vendors and subcontractors. Work with suppliers to include issues with delivery, quality, price or conditions of sale.

Provide contract administrative support to proposals and deliverables. Review incoming subcontract/contract actions for accuracy. Maintain spreadsheets and databases including Deltek Costpoint.

Monitor and report contract funding shortage and excess. Provide contract and project status to management.

Adhere to rules and regulations to include quality, safety and security programs. Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures.

Maintain audit ready contract files in accordance with department guidelines. Prepare, manage, submit and retain contract close out files.

Demonstrate advanced Excel and spreadsheet reporting functions; provide excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Manage multiple tasks, programs and managers with competing priority levels. Maintain accurate records through effective time and data management.

Meet deadlines for work submission with attention to accuracy and detail.

Actively contribute to department tasks, projects and results.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Contracts Management or related field.

5+ years of direct experience in contract administration and support of DoD contracts.

Demonstrate high motivation, mission-oriented success, and professional growth with demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work well with others in a dynamic, fast paced, multi-tasking team environment.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. A working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and GSAM is required. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a plus. Pricing and cost analysis experience will be considered an asset for this position.

Demonstrated experienced in review, negotiation and contract administration of FFP, labor-hour and cost-reimbursable contracts and subcontracts.

Work effectively with all levels of functional, program and corporate management to ensure contract and subcontract responsibilities are well-managed and program objectives are achieved.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential. Ability to work independently and excellent organizational skills, required.

Analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. Ability to communicate with employees and management.

Experience with Deltek Costpoint and proficiency with Microsoft office suite.

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain security clearance required.

Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a standard office setting using standard office equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers and video equipment; utilize computer software. Will interact in a general office setting with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; may travel occasionally for assigned work.
