Job Description
The Senior HR Generalist is key to overseeing the people processes, data, and compliance. This role ensures an outstanding employee experience from onboarding and throughout the employee lifecycle while maximizing operational efficiencies. The Senior HR Generalist supports the HR team by handling workflows related to Talent Management, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partner activities, as well as partnering with cross-functional teams such as IT, Finance, and Legal. This role will report to the Director of HR Operations.
Responsibilities:Employee Lifecycle Support: Ensure an exceptional experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. Have in-depth knowledge of best practices regarding HR processes and procedures. Ensure downstream systems and functions receive employee information in a timely mannerBenefits Administration: Handle day-to-day activities associated with US & Canada benefits programs including support for resolving escalated benefits claims issues, supporting the open enrollment process, staying up to date with benefits compliance-related requirements, managing leave of absence administrationHRIS Operations: Oversee HRIS day-to-day operations including report generation, employee data audits, and implementation cycles. Ensure proper & timely data flow of employee data to external departments (i.e. Finance, IT, Internal Audit)Employee Relations/Support: Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary. Provide support and input to management regarding employee relation issues from coaching to corrective action; proactively maintain a positive work environment through a fair and consistent resolution process.Compliance: Responsibility to ensure the HR department is compliant with local laws and maintaining proper records applicable with local legal requirements. Periodically performs audits of personnel data and recommends any corrective action.HR Guidance: Provide first-level support/ongoing HR guidance to employees and managers for all HR programs (i.e. merit, bonus, goals, & performance) Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Help employees and managers understand and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Immigration Support: Liaise with outside immigration counsel and supports employee immigration case application processesHR Audit Support: Oversee all ongoing audit requirements including SOX complianceAssist with miscellaneous projects and requests on an as-needed basisExperience
5+ years of experience in HR Operations or HR Business PartneringAbility to quickly evaluate and prioritize in a high-volume environment and juggle multiple priorities/projectsFamiliarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software (preferred Oracle HCM, Bamboo HR)Self-starter and someone who takes the initiative to make process improvements and solve problemsSelf-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented and superior time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organizationConflict resolution and negotiation skills to manage employee relations issuesHigh level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentationStrong knowledge of HR practices and employment lawsProficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldCertifications: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certificationFor roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Annual Salary Range
$100,000-$135,000 USD
