Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.Hands-on purchasing experience in homebuilding and both single and multifamily construction.Advanced computer proficiency, especially in MS Excel and blueprint interpretation.A keen eye for details combined with a strong sense of urgency.Familiarity with Newstar and Build Pro systems is advantageous.Responsibilities :
Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and estimates.Oversee competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and value engineering. Re-bid trades if unexpected cost surges occur.Develop and manage a trade contractor/supplier performance evaluation mechanism and recognition program.Scrutinize cost codes by phase for potential cost-saving methodologies.Reliably report any significant hard-cost alterations to the Director of Purchasing.Investigate and validate invoices and variance purchase orders, ensuring compliance with Accounting department timelines.Keep abreast of building codes, innovative construction techniques, and evolving trends pertinent to the home building sector.Draft and oversee Bid Sheets/Unit Pricing.Benefits :
