Responsibilities
Review plans, new community and model decisions, presentation plans, website information, etc.Verify and validate bids.Negotiate the most competitive pricing available for standards and options.Organize and analyze cost information/bids to support good decision making.Maintain an organized the department and keep an accurate cost database.Run budgets monthly to monitor accuracy.Research and identify new vendors to bid and/or provide new products and services.Work closely with the Construction Team to ensure that Trade and Material needs are being meet.Manage Bid / Take off files.Create reporting of bid comparisons.Data Entry into BRIX.Supports Purchasing Department.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge
Experience in Homebuilding or Construction related Purchasing is preferred.Experience with purchasing software required, Hyphen Solutions - BRIX/BuildPro preferred.Must have knowledge of Excel, Word and OutlookSkills and Abilities
Extremely well organized, able to multi-task and prioritizeAttention to detail and persistence in follow-upStrong sourcing and supply chain skillsStrong numeric and estimating skillsEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, or other related field; experience in lieu of degree may be accepted4 years purchasing experience requiredExperience in home building
