GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

In partnership with the Principal, and under the supervision of the principal, this position provides site-based leadership to increase student achievement by implementing and maintaining effective educational programs and services for students and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Valid Arizona Principal certificateMaster's Degree in related fieldInstructional Coach experience (preferred)A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience resulting in improved student learningValid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardAbility to work independently and supervise othersDemonstrated leadership experience in data driven decision-makingEffective presentation skillsExcellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and communityEvidence of ability to effectively use technology to perform dutiesSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableRESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Assist the Principal with evaluation of instructional staffImplement student discipline management practices that support changes in student behavior, effective classroom instruction, and a safe school environmentOversees responsibility for the school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.Collaborates with school counselor to implement effective social emotional learning skill developmentDesign and deliver behavior intervention for Tier 2 or Tier 3 studentsProvide leadership with student attendanceAssist with planning, organizing, and implementation of all school co-curricular and extracurricular activitiesAssist in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of the school's certified and classified staffDevelop teacher leaders and effective grade-level or content-area teamsAssist with facilitating staff development in alignment with the district's professional development calendar and school improvement planWork with the building Principal and administrative team to implement meaningful student assessment, data collection and analysis to effectively monitor student growth, and inform educational practice.Assist with the school budget and monitoring of discretionary fundsCoordinate school academic teams in support of individual students and review individual learning plans and progress toward goalsAssume responsibility for the implementation and observance of all Board policies and regulations by the school's staff and studentsWork productively as a school leadership team member to design and implement school improvement plans and monitor progress toward goalsAssist with planning and conducting meetings, in-services and workshops for staff and community as neededAttend meetings, district activities, and training as assignedMaintain open communication with students, parents, community and staffContinue personal and professional development through involvement in professional organizations and by attending and presenting at professional conferences, conducting colleague visits, facilitating school visitation, writing for publication, and engaging in professional readingRepresent the district in a professional manner, and in the best interests of the districtPerform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal and administrative staff
