Overview
The Human Resources Generalist provides support in all areas of HR services including recruiting, benefits, employee relations, leadership development, training programs, employment branding and other areas as needed. This role actively partners with the Human Resources team in serving team members and leadership, often serving as the first point of contact for HR related questions or concerns. In addition, this position plays an active role in K-LOVE's onboarding process.

Here's just some of what you will be doing daily...
Serve as the primary administrative resource for the HR team, including, but not limited to: development of correspondence for both confidential and non-confidential matters regarding recruiting processes; managing and preparing unemployment documents and claims; and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance throughout the process.Maintain and update Team Member records in the HRIS system, including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and changes to the Team Member status.Coordinate and host New Hire onboarding and New Hire orientations; perform related administrative tasks, set-up, and coordination for leadership development and training programs.Ensure the organization of employee files; maintain confidential records and documentation for Team Members that may include employee records, I-9 documents, and other related employment documentation.Process unemployment claims and employment verifications.Partner with payroll to submit Team Member vacation cash out requests, retro-pay amounts, bonus payments (i.e., relocation, sign on, or discretionary bonus amounts).Maintain list of active Team Members on the Ministry Driver's Insurance policy. Notifying vendor of Team Member changes.Provide outstanding customer service. Act as the first point of contact for HR related questions or concerns - redirecting staff and elevating issues as appropriate. Clearly and positively communicate solutions with exceptional follow through. Effectively and efficiently route and answer questions within scope of knowledge and authority.Help ensure legal compliance within leave practices; maintain appropriate regulatory and legal compliance programs.Support the HR team as needed to process State disability claims, EEO reporting, annual Open Enrollment, and other related projects.Assist in the design, project management, and implementation of HR sponsored workplace events and training in partnership with the HR team.Partner with the Senior HR Ministry Partner on exit paperwork and interviews.We are looking for a very specific skill set. Bachelor's degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.PHR and/or SHRM-CP an added plusMinimum 1 year of HR experience, preferably with ADP and HRIS systems.Proven project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills for building genuine business/ministry relationships.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ministry-focused, with a sense of urgency and exceptional follow-through.Adaptable and positive, maintaining productivity amid change.Professional representation of ministry and team members, ensuring confidentiality.Collaborative team player with a strong customer service orientation, able to work independently.Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.High initiative with strong problem-solving abilities.Why work for Educational Media Foundation, K-LOVE/Air1?
