PROGRAM MANAGER FOR SAFETY AND FIELD OPS

The Program Manager for the Public Safety Department will oversee the development, implementation, and management of security and safety programs across various campuses. This role includes leading initiatives to improve departmental operations, enhancing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with university and legal regulations. The Program Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, manage projects from conception to completion, analyze data for continuous improvement, and oversee budgeting and resource allocation. A successful candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in program management and public safety operations.
Education :• Bachelor's degree in security studies, security management, or security technology or related field.Preferred Qualifications:• Master's degree in security studies, security management, emergency management, or another related field.• Experience providing support to remote staff, staff operating in high-risk locations, and/or staff working inunpredictable environment.• Experience leading or participating on a threat assessment and management team.
Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training :• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to obtain and maintain any required endorsementsor certifications.• Possession of relevant certifications, licenses, or credentials in security, emergency management, or healthcaresecurity, as required by state regulations or facility policies.• CPR, Stop the Bleed, Narcan, and de-escalation training (must successfully complete entry training course).• ASIS International Certification (Certified Protection Professional (CPP®), Physical SecurityProfessional (PSP®), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI®))• Certification as a Certified Protection Profession (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified HealthcareProtection Administrator (CHPA)
Work Experience:• At least seven (5) years of demonstrable experience within physical security, security training and education, orsecurity management with at least 2 years of which in a healthcare environment.• At least two (2) years of demonstrable Emergency Preparedness or Emergency Management experience.Additional Requirements:• Applicants must be at least 21 years old to apply. Exceptions may be considered for individuals under21 who have:o Military experienceo Law enforcement experienceo Comparable security experience in a health care environment
Salary Range: Minimum 39.79 per hour - Maximum 63.67 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
