Position SummaryThe Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is seeking an experienced Director for Infrastructure and Operations. This is a full-time position located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This position works under the direction of the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for managing complex infrastructure landscape, including multiple ds, networks, servers, storage systems, and related technologies. In the performance of these duties, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.Specific Duties
Lead and Manage: Oversee the Infrastructure & Operations team (both domestic and international), providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative, communicative, and results-driven work environmentStrategic Development: Develop and execute multi-year strategies, roadmaps, and plans for global digital infrastructures and operations, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices (COBIT, ITSM, ITIL, CIS/NIST/ISO)Operational Oversight: Ensure optimal performance, availability, reliability, resiliency, and security of the digital infrastructure through effective day-to-day managementTeam Leadership: Lead and manage teams responsible for digital infrastructure operations and related technologiesCenter of Excellence: Establish a Center of Excellence for Cloud Architecture and TBD advanced technologiesNetwork Design: Understand, design and implement network infrastructure for data centers, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.Infrastructure Optimization: Optimize digital infrastructure through harmonization, consolidation, migration, and rationalization, including hyper-converged technologies, to improve efficiency and reduce operational costsCo-Tenancy Solutions: Implement and manage co-tenancy solutions to ensure efficient resource utilization and customer satisfactionBackup and Recovery: Oversee backup and recovery strategies, including technologies such as ExaGrid backups, Storinators, and Dell servers, conducting regular tests and updates to ensure infrastructure resilience and data protectionDisaster Recovery: Develop and maintain ministry recovery and disaster recovery plans to ensure digital infrastructure resilience and continuity of operationsPerformance Enhancement: Utilize knowledge of load balancers, caching mechanisms, and database optimization techniques to improve application performanceDev/Sec/Ops Implementation: Support the implementation of Dev/Sec/Ops principles and practices, promoting automation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and efficient patch management processesTechnology Adoption: Stay up to date with emerging technologies in digital infrastructure management, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI), evaluating their potential impact and driving their adoption where applicableCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AOMs, IT operations, network engineering, security, and application development teams, to ensure alignment and effective execution of digital infrastructure strategiesSLAs and KPIs: Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure operations, monitoring progress, and taking corrective actions as necessaryVendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and contracts for digital infrastructure services, hardware, and software, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to service levelsCapacity Planning: Monitor and proactively manage capacity planning to ensure scalability and performance optimization of the infrastructure to meet current and future ministry requirementsIndustry Research: Stay up to date with industry research, trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in infrastructure and operations management, recommending innovative solutions to drive operational efficiency and cost savings
