Role Summary & Impact

The Manager, Data & Analytics will focus on building and automating campaign insights and data-driven optimizations for programmatic media campaigns. The manager works with data scientists to create custom algorithms and data insights/visualization that will support internal and external teams to drive performance. This role requires excellent technical skills and experience in data matching, analytical and machine learning applications, data mining, reporting, and dashboarding. Through the insights created the individual will contribute significantly to the strategy across various aspects of campaign planning, set-up, optimization, and insights.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and deployment of GroupM products and services across multiple cloud environmentsGather, store and maintain big data sets for all digital marketing channels. Data sources include Ad Server, DSP, DMP, Ad VerificationCollaborate with a cross-functional team of client leads, application developers, operations engineers and architects to translate complex product requirements into technical specs and design requirementsOptimize performance and cost-efficiency of cloud-based processes across multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Maintain a high degree of knowledge in cloud data architecture and ETL best practices especially across Google Cloud Platform products and servicesDevelop and deploy automated scripts in Google, Azure or AWS cloud services to be used by other teams to increase productivityFacilitate architectural discussions and initiatives to ensure cloud-based products are optimally deployed with maximum availability of design featuresFormulate and execute robust UAT protocols to identify and address latent errors in product functionsDesign, build and deploy ETL and data management processes with reliable error/exception handling and rollback frameworkProvide production support for data load jobs and develop a customized query to generate automatic periodic reportsBuild applications writing SQL/Python scripts to manipulate data and/or writing specific instructions for off-shore programmers to write the scriptsSupervise, train and mentor experienced and junior analysts & engineersManage project timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with project managers and directorRequirements

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field required3-5 years of related work experience in the field of data engineering, marketing analytics, data science, and technology consultative environmentsExcellent client-facing, communication, and writing skillsExpertise with Data Architecture fundamentals, database design, and programming, ETL and custom query developmentStrong skills in SQL/ Python and proven experience working with at least one of the major databases platforms requiredExperience with building data pipes into Azure/GCP/AWS for Data Profiling Tools, ETL and Data Management ToolsExperience processing, developing/ cleansing data for AI/ML purposes required2-3 years of experience with the following GCP or equivalent cloud services: Cloud Storage, DataProc, Dataflow, CloudSQL, BigQueryExperience using the Linux Command LineExperience with source code management systemsData warehousing/data modeling experience, with a strong understanding of semantic and physical data modelsExperience with SCRUM or Agile methodology and project management toolsAble to deliver a broad range of data engagements in areas such as Data Architecture, Data Integration, Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Quality and BI ReportingUnderstanding of data analysis techniques and how they can be applied in the marketing context beneficialExperience with the full development life cycle of an application stack - from architecture through test and deployment preferredKnowledge of the advertising ecosystem, understanding of marketing metrics, and analytical products offered as a service is preferredGCP Data Engineer cloud certification or equivalent preferred

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
