Overview
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation's largest small business advocacy organization, looks to hire a Sr HR Specialist to join its Human Resources team and focus on Employee Relations and Programs.
Responsibilities
The Senior Human Resources Specialist supports organization human resources initiatives through employee programs administration and employment data analysis. Position acts as a point of contact for employee concerns and collaborates with management to address employee relations issues in compliance with company policies and employment laws. Coordinates employee development plans and performance management. Position is responsible for HRIS administration and processing including compensation, performance management, unemployment, and associated reporting. Provides HR support through program development and maintenance to meet department goals and objectives.
Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work outcomes must meet and / or exceed productivity and quality standards. Must be able to work as part of a cooperative team environment and independent of direct supervision; adhere to Company and Department policies and procedures. Performs other projects as needed.
This position is hybrid in office. Salary range for position is $70,000-$75,000.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience. PHR / SHRM-CP certificate preferred, not required.Five (5) - seven (7) years' experience in a human resources environment, required with 3+ years of employee relations experience; responsible for HRIS administration, compensation, performance management, unemployment, and other related fields. Strong knowledge of employment law and human resources best practices; employee relations experience required. National or multi-state experience is preferred.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll processes; query and report development and analysis. UltiPro and Business Intelligence report writing experience preferred.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and organization skills required; attention to detail is essential. Must exhibit strong problem solving and conflict management skills.Confidentiality and professionalism are essential. Must have good judgment and a strong commitment to customer service. Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment; ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure.
