PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Local Operations & Inventory Management Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our operations support team. This multifaceted position is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of local operations, AIR support coordination, precise inventory reporting and waybilling functions, as well as handling various transactional duties as needed. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficacy, maintain accurate inventory records and contribute to the smooth execution of local assignments and customer shipments. This position can be based in Winnipeg, Manitoba or Kansas City, MO.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop, plan, and implement Local Service Operating strategies, ensuring seamless execution of customer traffic and local T&E coordinationOffer round-the-clock systems support, addressing system issues and providing necessary training and coaching on application and system useConduct thorough inventory audits for designated local assignments, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with inventory management protocolsFacilitate waybilling functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of waybills and other essential documentation for operational efficiencyMaintain up-to-date service exception logs across Canada and the U.S., identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues for immediate resolutionGenerate and analyze performance scorecards, publishing Industry Service Summary reports based on collected data to evaluate service delivery against customer expectationsCollaborate closely with trainmasters, issuing precise work orders to crews and offering immediate feedback and recommendations for process improvements to managementPerform additional transactional work and duties as required, ensuring comprehensive support across all operational areasPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Strong analytical skills complemented by outstanding organizational capabilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skills, with proven problem-solving abilitiesProven flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, 24/7 operational environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systemsPost-secondary education is preferred; relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field is highly beneficialA results-driven approach with a commitment to teamwork and professional developmentWHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:
