Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Security, the Security Manager provides oversight and supervision part-time security personnel. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and updating security policies, programs, procedures, and systems designed to protect the physical assets of Moody Center. The Security Manager facilitates the process of providing a safe and secure environment for all Moody Center guests, tenants, employees, vendors, and contractors.
This role pays an annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Director of Security in development and oversight of strategic safety plans with the objective of managing and mitigating risk for Moody Center during sporting events, concerts, and other entertainment events.
Take ownership of assigned events in the facility inclusive of scheduling staff, working with tour personnel and briefing relevant stakeholders.
Liaison with the Best Crowd Management events team to ensure operations are carried out professionally.
Ensure oversight of all incident reports during events and that accurate information is being documented.
Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications, both verbal and written, when interacting with key stakeholders and clients to provide the highest possible level of service.
Help build and manage a safety platform focusing on safety of employees, vendors, artists, clients, patrons, etc.
Ensure strong collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g., IT, Senior Leadership, Human Resources, Risk Management and related law enforcement and government agencies).
Implement and manage security programs to ensure appropriate levels of security, safety, privacy, and recovery of company assets, loss prevention, commercial tenants, and patrons.
Keep up to date on latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.
Build a collaborative relationship with the Austin Police Department, Austin Fire Department, University of Texas Police Department, University of Texas Athletic Department, State and Federal Agencies, first responders and emergency personnel.
Assist the Director of Security in delivering reports detailing overall program compliance and program effectiveness.
Provide training and leadership for Security team in disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Manage ongoing risk assessment program targeting information security and privacy matters, recommend methods for vulnerability detection and remediation, and vulnerability testing.
Work with outside consultants and vendors as appropriate for independent security audits.
Manage venue credentialing process in a timely manner.
Effectively manage internal security technology programs including Genetec and ISS 24/7.
Manage venue key systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Frequent bending, lifting 50+ pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building.
QualificationsThe qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. 4-6 years’ experience with a corporation and/or law enforcement, military, intelligence, or private security organization including supervisory experience.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
Experience implementing Emergency Evacuation Plans, Policies and Procedures.
Proven ability to think strategically with a willingness to roll up sleeves and execute on projects.
Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
Skilled in leading, motivating and developing employees.
Must have a high degree of personal integrity and be willing to consistently put the interests of the organization first.
Strong ability to support creative ideation to enhance brand equity while supporting company culture, values, and objectives.
Must be a strong communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), CCTV and access control systems.
Experience working in live entertainment venues is a plus
