Dirctor of Restorative Practives & Culture Holyoke Community College seeks an experienced Director of Restorative Practices and Culture as a full-time salaried role reporting directly to the Vice President of People, Culture, and Equity. In this position, the director serves as a facilitator, curriculum designer, coach, advocate for growth, healing, and cultural transformation. Its primary purpose is to prevent conflict and wrongdoing from escalating and respond to wrongdoing after it occurs in a timely manner. Meanwhile, restorative practices focus on resolving conflict, repairing harm, and healing relationships. While primarily working with faculty and staff, the director will collaborate with other cross-departmental units to facilitate its work such as the Director of Community Standards and Well-Being, Affirmative Action/Title IX, Human Resources, academic departments, and deans to inform their work. Their expertise lies in the principles of equity-centered restorative justice and trauma-informed practices. Key responsibilities include driving sustainable systems change through context-specific projects and resources, supporting the core values and mission of the institution and using that as a tool that can drive mindset changes with individuals, and design learning activities, and curriculum development.
