Darigold is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor to be a part of Darigold's Rainier team. The Quality Control Supervisor's role is to administer corporate policies and procedures as they relate to quality and food safety, in conjunction with the QC Manager through performance, supervision, monitoring and development of quality systems and processes. Annual compensation range: $75,000-$98,150 (individual wage based on previous experience, knowledge, and skills)What You Will Do Perform records review, monitor compliance to specifications, methods and procedures, GMP, HACCP and food safety programs. Ensure compliance through sampling and testing of all relevant processes and materials.•Conduct internal audits to verify compliance to WSDA, USDA and FDA requirements.•Provide technical support in the implementation of Appendix N program including training and correction of deficiencies.•Conduct routine plant inspection to verify compliance to regulatory requirements from milk receiving to shipping of finished products.•Environmental and sanitation monitoring by conducting and directing the associated programs.•Supervise and conduct laboratory functions and operations in all facets of analytical testing and support for in-process and finished product analysis.•Train and review of methodologies, SOP's, performance and techniques of hourly employees.•Implement and conduct routine laboratory calibrations of instruments to assure accuracy and repeatability of test results.•Finished product evaluation to include packaging review and finished product integrity. Ensure all analytical and production check frequencies are being met.•Weights and measures verification to include scale checks and documentation.•Metal detection and extraneous control verification by routine checks and document review to validate the efficacy of procedures.•Ingredient / Raw materials review and inspection. Verify vendor compliance and monitor receipt, storage, and handling.•Monitor CIP systems and documentation to ensure proper cleaning. Validate records and compliance to established parameters.•Perform routine sanitation inspection and verify efficacy with associated equipment through visual inspection and microbiological testing.•Maintaining food safety and quality by reporting all food safety risks or quality issues to QA and plant management immediately and hold all at risk products for management review.What You Bring•Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.•Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.•Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate quality systems in a positive and proactive manner.•Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required.•Ability to manage multiple priorities.•Must be goal oriented and result driven•Must have strong technical and organizational skillsNice to Have's•Must have 1+ years of experience in Dairy or Food Quality assurance with preference given to those with a B.S.
