a Senior Pricing Manager in Huntsville!
Role Description
Proposals
Manages the pricing function requiring resource estimating for proposal response to solicitationsWorks closely with BD Support/Capture team/technical subject matter experts on a bid-by-bid basis to effectively facilitate the development of proposal content for staffing solutions in response to complex solicitation requirementsDevelops and discusses solicitation questions and recommendations that impact estimating compliance and strategyOversees the compilation and organization of cost, schedule, vendor, and technical elements for proposal development in accordance with RFP specifications and company standardsWorks independently on proposals coordinating the resource estimating requirements to include estimating schedules and allocation of timeBasis of Estimate (BOE)
Familiar with BOE generation/approval to support proposed resourcingOversees the identification, gathering, analysis, and documentation of information and data required to produce BOE submissions as part of the proposal processSupports development and maintenance of estimating methods, and written explanatory / supporting BOE justification textRecommends new approaches intended to produce more accurate and supportable estimates and BOEs
Price to Win strategies
Understands Price to Win strategies, pricing levers, and effective labor category mapping, working with BD/Capture to optimizeAssesses Government solicitation requirements and advises BD Support/Capture team personnel on the use of industry-standard estimating techniques and methodologies and Price to Win assessments
Business Initiatives
Performs cost and resource analyses and estimates to support key business initiatives
Pricing Resources
Maintains a system of documentation and review of internal and external comparative resource data
Team Leadership
Provides mentoring to team membersCoordinates estimating project schedules
Qualifications:
Clearance Level:
Eligible to Obtain a Secret or Greater
Selected Applicants will undergo a security/background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationEducation:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
At least 10 years of experience working in the Government contracting environment in a resource and cost estimating capacity, along with at least 5 years of experience managing cost/pricing teamsExperience documenting, supporting, and defending BOEs related to government contract proposalsWorking Knowledge of DFARS Estimating System Criteria and DCAA DCAM Chapters 5 - Audit of Policies, Procedures, and Internal Controls Relative to Accounting and Management Systems, and 9 - Audit of Cost Estimates and Price ProposalsComprehensive project leadership skills, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestonesIn-depth knowledge of industry processes and practices, particularly within the defense sectorsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience participating and supporting DCAA in cost estimation audits desiredExperience managing all activities related to the support, coordination, and scheduling of proposal efforts, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of proposals desiredMay accomplish objectives through subordinate management and/or professional staffBenefits at Sentar:
