The Development Coordinator will:

Be responsible for managing and maintaining the Council's donor database information system, Blackbaud- Raiser's EdgeUsing Raiser's Edge & RE NXT to record donor donations on an ongoing basis and generate acknowledgements.Design and run donor reports and assist with database maintenance which may include database management, reporting, metrics reporting and logistics.Manage and oversee gift processing and donor acknowledgements for all GSNorCal office locations and will reconcile donor gift activity with the accounting department to ensure reporting accuracy and confidentialityAssist in grant and donor prospect research and tracking.Attend educational webinar workshops through Blackbaud to be the expert on the Raiser's Edge CRM system and functionality on behalf of the Fund Development Department.Assist with the production and implementation of appeal campaigns and other fundraising communications and strategies.Perform administrative duties as needed including filing, copying, sorting, mailing, etc.Provide support organizing board committee meetings, meeting minutes, and communication.Coordinate and promote episodic volunteer opportunities council-widePartner with other program staff and volunteers on the implementation of council-wide, service unit, and troop programs and events as necessary.Other duties upon request.Skills required to be successful in this role, include, but are not limited to:

Handle and supervise the processing and retention of council donations in a timely, ethical and fiscally responsible manner, observing the existing checks and balances.Prepare all donor mailing lists: annual campaigns, direct mail, invitations, and other electronic and printed mailings.Provide accurate and quality customer service and information to both external constituents (donors) and internal stakeholders (staff/volunteers).In addition, this individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and behaviors in the execution of this role:

Manage and maintain the donor data base platform across GSNorCal office locations to ensure data integrity for the fundraising activities conducted by the Council.Manage and update the coding system for all aspects of the platform and be able to identify enhancements to the process as needed.Reconcile with accounting on a monthly basis and provide reports for the audit or as needed.Produce timely and accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports for Finance, Fund Development department, Board of Directors, and other GSNorCal staff/volunteers, and provide or guide other data reporting requests as needed.Conduct data analysis to inform mailing segmentation, moves management prospects pipeline, and donor giving trends.Document procedures and keep the Raisers Edge procedures manual up-to-date and run regular data backup procedures.Recording of fund development monies in a timely, ethical, and fiscally responsible manner, observing the existing checks and balances.Manage and oversee the donor acknowledgement process including producing weekly gift acknowledgement letters, tracking returned mail and updating database, and ensuring gifts are acknowledged in a timely manner.Work with other staff on recording non-data donor information and monitor key donor activity.Review, maintain, and respond to inquiries from our helpdesk email and Salesforce cases in a timely manner.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and education, comparable to the attainment of a bachelors' degreeTwo years of experience using donor database software required - Must have general understanding of database systems in order to effectively apply to Girl Scout fundraising activities. Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT preferred.Prior experience working in fundraising and interest to learn new skills.High discretion in handling sensitive and confidential donor information.Strong attention to detail and a mindset for properly executing complex processes with accuracy and efficiency and have an interest to improve processes and procedures.Excellent oral and written English language communication skillsAbility to exhibit a positive, cooperative attitude, and professional image when working with all staff, members, donors, and visitors.Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Ability to learn new online tools and databases quickly.Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse employee, volunteer, and donor population.A strong sense of integrity, work ethic, and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment, meet deadlines successfully, and manage multiple tasks and demands.Commitment to diversity and proven ability to work effectively with persons of diverse backgrounds and abilities.Ability to pass the Girl Scouts background check process and verification standardsDesired Qualifications:

Prior experience working in a fund development administrative role within Development Department of a nonprofit organization.Prior experience in CRM management for both Blackbaud Raiser's Edge platform and SalesforceMust have strong organizational skills, time-management skills, self-motivated, and have interest to improve processes.Outstanding written and oral communication skills.Excellent compute skills- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word and Teams), and ability to learn new databases (Raiser's Edge and RE NXT) and online tools (Fundraise Up) quickly.Knowledge of internet research skills to support donor prospect research.Knowledge of/experience in the Girl Scout Movement.
