Our Licensing and Customer Support Services (LCSS) Unit in our Business and Professions Division (BPD) is currently recruiting for a Professional Licensing Representative to support licensing activities.
We are one of the most public facing state agencies and the second largest revenue generating agency in Washington State. We regularly interact with over 6 million Washington residents and collect nearly $3 billion in taxes and fees annually. We know our services are essential to our customers' ability to live, work, drive, and thrive. Duties
As a Professional Licensing Representative, you will support licensing activities for multiple programs, including Auctioneers, Sellers of Travel, Combative Sports, and more. You will accomplish this by providing a wide range of customer support. This may be completed by answering customer inquiries about business and professional licensing, reviewing application materials, analyzing data and backgrounds to verify completeness, and by issuing professional and business licenses.
The work you will do includes working weekends, evenings, and in settings that include indoor and outdoor combative sporting events, and often in environments that can include crowded facilities, exposure to injuries, bodily fluids, smoking, alcohol, and high levels of noise.
Some of what you will do:
Evaluate and process both paper and electronic applications for licenses and renewals.Assist management in coordinating and facilitating the conduct of statewide combative sporting events.Assist licensees and public regarding licensing questions, procedures for licensing, and how to access services and online systems.Review and research file documentation to resolve customer related issues via telephone and email.
Collaborate and support the larger licensing and customer support services (LCSS) team with work distribution discussions and handling tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role:
Six (6) years of combined experience and/or education in a licensing or regulatory program.
OR
Two (2) years of experience as a Professional Licensing Representative 2.
OR
Three (3) years of experience as a Professional Licensing Representative 1.
Experience must include the following:
Three (3) years of experience in the following:
Providing professional customer service in person, in writing, and by telephone.Using computer programs to write documents, send emails, and edit spreadsheets, and present information.
