Our Centralized Investigations & Audits Unit (CIAU) is currently looking for an Audit Supervisor of Real Estate Licensees and Business Owners.

Our Business & Professions Division (BPD) has 39 business and professional licensing programs and overall manages 42 programs, providing oversight of Combative Sports events, maintaining Uniform Commercial Code filings, administering the Centralized Investigations & Audits Unit (CIAU), Performing Rights Society registration, and maintaining the Firearms database for law enforcement.

Duties
As the Audit Supervisor, you will support your team as they protect public interests by ensuring regulatory compliance and providing courteous customer service. To maintain continuity, you will be responsible for developing unit procedure manuals and processes while reviewing audits and providing guidance. In addition, you will plan and review regulatory audits of real estate licensees throughout the state for all requirements in laws, rules, and contracts related to the entire practice of selling real estate. This position will require you to present findings and review concerns with internal and external stakeholders as well.
Some of what you will be doing:Prioritize and assign auditors to assist with investigations to maximize unit performance in production timelines and audit quality.Mentor, train, and coach complex audit skills necessary to fully plan and conduct multifaceted financial audits and investigationsAssess and evaluate work performance, training, and behaviors including taking corrective actions when appropriate.Develop and conduct training opportunities around audit procedures to ensure staff are meeting expectations.Provide expert knowledge and assistance to leadership and management surrounding customer feedback and hearings preparations.Qualifications
Some of what you will bring:
Six (6) years conducting complex financial audits including the knowledge of methods, practices, principles, fundamentals, and standards.Experience must include the following:
20 semester hours or 30 quarter hours of college level accounting.Five (5) years of leading workload management including resource management, process review, quality and timeliness accountability.Five (5) years of experience interpreting and applying State statutes, rules, or federal regulations.Three (3) years of experience supervising, coaching, and leading groups creating a cooperative and productive environment.
Experience can be gained concurrently.
Up to four (4) years of relevant education may substitute year for year for experience.
What may help set you apart:
A Bachelor's degree involving major study in business, accounting, or closely aligned field or completed education requirements.Current or Prior license held as a real estate managing broker or designated broker.Knowledge of the statutes, rules, practices, and principles of Real Estate Brokers, Managing Brokers, and Firms and requirements for effective consumer trust account compliance.Additional Requirements of Employment:
