The Division of Continuing and International Education offers both credit and non-credit academic interdisciplinary programs designed to assist students in pursuit of their academic and professional goals within higher education.
The Sr. Program Coordinator works closely with the Assistant Dean and Program Directors to provide an integrated range of managerial, administrative, and academic advisement for programs within the Collegiate Studies unit and the Division of Continuing and International Education. This position also provides a wide range of support services to students, administrators for schools and colleges, and internal and external business partners.

Academic Advising
• Coordinates the planning and operations for Undergraduate Intersessions, Undergraduate Miami Visiting Program, Undergraduate Start Online (Spring Admits) and Non-Degree High School Programs• Lead advisor for approximately 100 – 150 students in Special Academic Programs, support advisor to all other Collegiate Studies programs• Manages admissions, matriculation, and registration throughout the yearly UM academic calendar• Collaborates with Assistant Dean and Director of Programs to maintain an operations management calendar which includes course requests forms and storage, course pricing, and faculty assignments• Coordinates with schools and colleges’ administrators and department heads to identify courses and curriculum in support of maintaining and expanding the undergraduate and graduate course offerings• Collaborate with course schedulers for verification of appropriate course listings, room assignments, enrollment capacity, and course restrictions• Collaborate and consult the DCIE ISSS Certification liaison for Miami Visiting international student population• Support international students with retrieval and verification documentation that is specific to their institution and UM • Assist in updating the program calendars and information on the DCIE website via Cascade • Update Advisor Consortium Listserv with information and updates associated with the undergraduate programs• Respond to student and advisor requests during peak enrollment dates (add, drop period)• Manage (answer, reply and forward) email communications received in the program inboxes• Assist with Pin requests, advisor verification, and distribution for Online and Intersession courses• Assist students and academic liaisons with program information and admissions processes
Summer Sessions Brochure and Marketing
• Collaborate with the Marketing team and assist with the design of the Summer Sessions Brochure which is distributed throughout all schools and colleges and the broader UM Community• Collect and organize data from each unit head to retrieve updates for the Summer Sessions Brochure• Confirm delivery listserv and distribute brochure
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Highly skilled in interpersonal communication and customer service best practices• High quality decision making and judgment.• Skilled in advising and counseling; high degree of emotional intelligence.• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing• Knowledge of student recruitment, advising, and retention strategies• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.• Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements.• Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records.• Strong public presentation skills• Strong organizational skills – ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products• Knowledge of CRM, Canelink, EAB Navigate, Cascade, SLATE, Teams, Adobe Creative, Qualtrics, Microsoft Office Suite
Required Experience• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred • Knowledge and/or experience in higher education administration• 3-5 years’ experience in an academic or professional office environment
