Job Description
The Senior Financial Systems Manager is responsible for the successful design and delivery of business processes and successful support of the companies new ERP solution meeting the business needs and organizational adoption. Interacts directly with internal customers and colleagues, acts as a project lead for complex projects involving multiple resources and tasks. Provides mentoring to other team members.
This role will manage relationships with the business team, external vendors, internal software development, infrastructure and project management teams in providing system solutions and support for the Finance, HR, IT and Legal ecosystems.
This position can be remote from the US.
Day-to-day responsibilities:Provide detailed analysis of business requirements, processes and workflows that results in clear, concise, and unambiguous system requirements to ensure development of best practice solutions.Understands the functions and processes provided by the current systems. Understand and accommodate the requirement constraints imposed by the current systems in order to appropriately configure/enhance and improve the new ERP system.Ensures business and technical requirements are understood, agreed to, and signed off at the appropriate early stages of the design process.Identifies areas where technology, development of new systems or enhancements to existing systems and/or integration solutions can lead to increased efficiency and productivityWork with the Finance team to incorporate process improvement plan aimed at streamlining, simplifying and standardizing business processes into broader financial systems roadmapWork with QA team to develop test schedules, review testing plans and support unit, regression and user acceptance testing for developed business and technology solutionsLiaising between Vendors and Business groups to identify processes enhancements and system improvementsProvides user documentation for the system. Creates curriculum and provides classes for user training.Essential traits:
Bachelor's degree required8+ years Dynamics D365 FO (aka Dynamics AX) implementation experienceKnowledge of Finance business concepts, such as, month-end close processes, budgeting and planning, general ledger, treasury, accounts payable and account receivables, fixed assets, project accounting.Strong experience with Microsoft D365FO with focus on finance and projectsPreference for experience with implementing Microsoft for global organizations.Knowledge of HR, IT and Legal business concept
