ERP Systems Analyst

Reporting to the Director of Information Services, the ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for providing exceptional internal customer service for the Tyler Technology New World Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software modules to users. The ERP Systems Analyst ensures timely resolution of user software issues through data analysis, functionality troubleshooting, and excellent communication skills to resolve application issues.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains, manages and updates New World ERP softwareCreates and maintains user accounts using access control settings, including granting users the relevant roles they need to access required processes and dataPartners with other City IT staff and vendors to ensure that the City's data is protected from a cyberattack or data breachPerforms verification tests with end users on New World ERP softwarePerforms functionality testing before migrating upgrades/updates to production environmentPartners with New World ERP technical support and City IT staff to minimize unplanned outagesServes as a technical resource to New World ERP users to address system issues and improvementsProvides technical training for end usersActs as subject matter expert on New World ERP software and business processesCreates and maintains documentation related to the maintenance and usability of New World ERPWorks with other vendors to develop data interfaces to improve data flow between New World ERP and other City applicationsUses knowledge of SQL and New World ERP data structure to create ad hoc reports and/or database applications customized to specific needs of department usersKEY REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline required or attainment of the following levels of experience:

3-5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge maintaining and overseeing an enterprise resource planning application used by a municipality or county3-5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge in mastering database management software/tools, including proficiency in SQL query building and report writing3-5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge providing technical support for end users working in Finance, Human Resources, and Utility Billing

Experience providing technical support of municipal government applicationsExperience working with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Crystal Reports, SSRS)SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proficient with MSSQL stored procedure creation, job creation, general report automationProficient with advanced MSSQL features to use in automating data delivery, file creation and notificationsKnowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)Proficient with Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) creation/usageProficient with C#Proficient with IISProficient with Office 365 applicationsKnowledge of Windows Server operating systems and networking principlesKnowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Utility Billing, PayrollAbility to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive customer or employee dataAbility to work under tight deadlines efficiently and with high qualityMust possess strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detailMust have the desire to collaborate with multiple departments and serve as an advocate for end usersPhysical and environmental conditions:Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Physical demands are sedentary in nature with prolonged sitting. Work may cause fatigue of eyes, fingers, and other facilities because of fairly continuous use of motor senses. Requires moderate physical effort in carrying/moving microcomputers and peripheral equipment. includes walking, standing, reaching, bending, and occasionally driving a vehicle.
