Position Summary : The Benefits and Wellness Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and administering health insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence and wellness programs for team members. This role will provide team member support: advising team members, answering questions, and enrolling them in benefit programs. Ensuring compliance, making sure benefits and leave programs adhere to legal requirements. Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Research benefits options such as various insurance, retirement, and wellness options to ensure the company provides the best possible benefits plans to its team members.

Manage and respond to inquiries related to benefits, leaves of absences, wellness programs and other general inquiries in our ticketing portal.

Perform quality checks in HR system of benefits-related data.

Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.

Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Benefits and Wellness to evaluate and improve existing benefits offerings.

Assist team members regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.

Enroll team members with carriers and process life status changes through the HR system.

Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and state disability paperwork: medical, personal, ADA, FMLA, and other applicable leave.

Provide exemplary customer service to team members, executives, and HR business partners.

Evaluate and approve/deny leave cases based on relevant medical information.

Ensure compliance with HIPPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines.

Complete and process benefit withholding orders in a timely manner.

Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and team members relating to eligibility, enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts.

Support with the open enrollment process.

Assist with the company's wellness initiatives, which may include coordinating counseling, fitness activities, health fairs, nutritious food services, and workplace community activities.

Able to travel to all locations (up to 10% travel)

Qualifications

Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in business or HR or related field is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, and wellness programs. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to benefits, leave, and wellness. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word & Excel. Intermediate Excel Experience a must. Able to work in an HRIS system (Workday experience is a plus).Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.Compensation: $68,640.00 - $91,620.00
