Interested?Here's what you'd do:Responsible for analyzing or administering security controls for information systems.Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure.Researches, evaluates, tests, recommends, communicates, and implements new security software or devices.Implements, enforces, communicates, and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications.Manages the company's firewalls and intrusion detection systems.Provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information.Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.Here's what you'll get:Pay:

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Associates DegreeMinimum of 1-year experience in the Information Security field.Minimum of 1 year experience in the network engineering fields (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VPN).Minimum of 4 years experience in various Operating Systems (Windows, Linux,)Minimum of 4 years experience in predominant cyber-attack vectors (Buffer Overflow, Phishing)Minimum of 4 years experience in system logs and be familiar with log analysis

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in IT Security (BS/BA)Information Security Operations Center analyst experienceCertification in CompTIA Security+Understanding of system vulnerabilities and exploitationUnderstanding of vulnerability mitigationKnowledge of SIEM functions threat hunting, correlation of events, dashboard creation, metrics development, and creating alerts based on threat intelligence and other Indicators of Compromise (IOC)sAbility to prioritize vulnerability mitigation efforts based on risk assessmentsAble to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.Good written and oral communication skills, self-motivated and self-starter, maintain a curiosity and to learn, and be able to work well in a team environment.Additional Information:Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.Under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), all employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying their status as a 'U.S. Person', as defined in ITAR clause 120.15.
