A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an

IT Security Analyst (SOC Analyst) .

Position Type: Full time Contract, Contract to HireDuration: 06-12 MonthsLocation:

As an

IT Security Analyst (SOC Analyst),

you will:Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems.Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure.Research, evaluates, tests, recommends, communicates and implements new security software or devices. Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications.Manages the company's firewalls and intrusion detection systems.Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge.Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.Communicate with contacts in their own team to explain and interpret information.Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.

The ideal candidate will have:

BS/BA (or equivalent) degree in IT Security or related field, and a minimum of 2 years related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience, and including: Minimum of (1) years' experience in the Information Security field.Minimum of (1) years' experience in the network engineering fields (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VPN).Understanding of various Operating Systems (e.g Windows, Linux, etc.)Understanding of system logs and being familiar with log analysisUnderstanding of predominant cyber-attack vectors (Buffer Overflow, Phishing, etc.)

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:Pay Range*:

$40-$45 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
