Corporate ParalegalContract to HireHybrid | Tampa, FloridaAs part of an industry leading water treatment company, working closing with and supporting the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, this experienced corporate legal assistant/paralegal will join the legal team responsible for day-to-day corporate governance, regulatory affairs, commercial transactions, procurement, litigation and claims and compliance matters for the client. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support for our in-house legal team on complex legal matters. The successful candidate will be organized, attentive to detail, exercise sound decision-making, and escalate issues when appropriate. The successful candidate will have a high level of energy and engagement and the flexibility to work in a high-paced, deadline-driven organization, where timely execution of high-quality work product is expected.Responsibilities:Assisting with review and refinement of client facing documents, forms, letters and disclosures.Identifying potential issues and working with appropriate business partners to provide solutions.Assisting with corporate governance, commercial agreements and compliance work including developing plans and processes for long-term management.Litigation and claims support.File and records organization, including creating trackers and identifying gapsAssisting in initial anti-corruption and trade sanctions checks, including reviewing information and supporting documents for sufficiency.Filing and managing qualifications/registrations to do business, and withdrawal.Partner with other Legal team members to develop plans and processes for corporate governance, compliance and entity management.Filling out and reviewing forms (i.e., due diligence forms, work permit applications, etc.), and gathering and reviewing supporting documentation for sufficiency.Supporting legal entity creation and management.Assisting with periodic filings and business licenses.Coordinating the Apostilling and Authentication of documents.Preparation of template agreements and other documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Powers of Attorney, governance resolutions.Staying up to date on legislative, regulatory, and corporate governance developments and their potential and actual impact on the company.Assisting with legal counsel and vendor bills and processing and tracking budgets and approvals.Perform other duties as assigned.Key Skills and QualificationsCompliance and commercial transactions and commercial contracting experience.Resourceful research and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with precision.Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, WESTLAW, and Litera proofing and redlining software.Ability to understand business needs and collaborate across multiple departments and business functions.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels.Takes pride in delivering quality work product and embraces opportunities to take ownership as needed.Ability to prioritize in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.Preferred (bi-lingual) in English and Spanish speaking and writing.Education and ExperienceMinimum 5+ years' experienceAssociates degree, bachelor's degree RequiredNotary public preferred
