As an Operations and Database Engineer at Chem-Impex, you will play a critical role in empowering our team to make data-driven decisions. You'll work at the intersection of operations and technology, ensuring seamless database management and reporting solutions.
What You'll Do
Be the analytics champion: Support departments with real-time insights and decision-making through impactful reports and dashboards.Maintain operational excellence: Manage and troubleshoot operational software, ensuring smooth functionality and system integration.Innovate with data: Connect various data sources, streamline workflows, and ensure the data we rely on is clean, accurate, and ready for analysis.Engineer solutions: Lead data migration efforts, build custom workflows, and create scalable software solutions to meet evolving business needs.Optimize performance: Create dashboards and reporting structures that provide a real-time snapshot of operations, driving continuous improvement.Lead in data governance: Ensure data hygiene and governance, establishing best practices across departments.Work with legacy systems: Support the integration and optimization of existing legacy systems, ensuring they work in harmony with new technologies and solutions.What You'll Bring.
Strong experience in SQL (1-3 years), with a proven ability to manage and optimize databases.1 to 2 years experience with any of the following business software: Microsoft Great Plains, Netsuite, Hubspot, Shopify, Matrixify, SalesPad/Cavallo, Panatrack, OnBase, Fedex Ship Manager, Liaison, Postmaster, Microsoft Access, Advanced Excel Skills, PowerBI, Power Automate, Google Drive SuiteExperience with the following computer languages: SQL, Powershell, VBA for Excel macros, PowerQuery (Excel and PowerBI) Google Apps Scripts (Javascript), C++Data-driven mindset: Passion for analyzing data to drive decision-making and improve processes.AI and automation skills: Familiarity with AI tools and automation technologies to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. (Preferred)ERP and software proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Great Plains, Netsuite, etc.) and comfort navigating (and potentially migrating) multiple business software platforms. (Preferred)Professional acumen: Excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.What We Offer
