About our opportunity:The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Event Staff in the Community and Regional Entertainment Facilities department. Harrah's Cherokee Center, located in Downtown Asheville, is seeking temporary event staff to work events as needed. An employee in this position greets patrons, takes their tickets, helps them find their seats, and guards the doors during the events.
What you'll be doing:
Greet Harrah's Cherokee Center patrons.Take tickets to events from patrons.Lead patrons to available seating and facilities.Maintain a cheerful demeanor toward patrons while on duty.Help parties of Harrah's Cherokee Center patrons find one another.Respond to patrons' inquiries about Harrah's Cherokee Center facilities.Guard the doors where events are located.Check identification to wristband patrons to purchase alcohol.Perform other related work as required.
