The Role and What You'll Do:
The Media Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Media team in the scheduling and resourcing of all media plans, trafficking, media reports and other media deliverables. The Media Operations Manager must have a strong understanding of traditional and digital media best practices and process, and will work within the existing media process to facilitate the organization and delivery of assets and information to department staff. They will also be responsible for communicating status and progress to other account and creative leads.
The Media Operations Manager will work with the resource management team to create project schedules based on team capacity. The Media Operations Manager should be familiar with capacity planning, scheduling, estimating jobs, and managing multiple deadlines. Experience with project management software like Workamajig, CRM systems, Gantt chart tools like MS Project is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Schedule, estimate, and facilitate progress for projects in the media departmentDevelop task lists for projects and identify potential issues that would prevent successful launch/deliveryAssist in the overall process of obtaining assets and decisions as needed across departments, disciplines, and teamsRegularly report on project health, tracking hours incurred and forecasting throughout each project phaseCollect and organize all information associated with each projectSchedule and facilitate project meetings and milestones, for both internal and client delivery or reviewEnsure that all necessary team members are included in appropriate meetings and conversationsAnticipate and prevent project roadblocks to ensure successful delivery of final productREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, advertising or related field2+ years experience in project managementCapable of managing and working on multiple projects within tight deadlinesExceptional communication and organizational skillsCollaborative, results-oriented, problem-solver who can both provide and take direction wellProficient in Microsoft office suite, with particularly strong excel skillsAgency experience a plus
