Principal Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The Director of Camp Kehilla is responsible for planning and administering all camp activities and operations. This position will assist with the growth and care of campers in a fun and nurturing environment.

ESSENETIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Director Responsibilities:

Partner with leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for programsOversee the program's overall performance and successPrepare and monitor department budgetsPlan and execute all program initiatives and report on program outcomesEnsure program stays within compliance with agency and legal regulationsCommunicate objectives and outcomes with Senior Leadership and Board when necessaryConduct performance reviews and set performance goals for program and team membersRecommend staffing requirements, recruit and train new team membersPartner with Human Resources to coach, counsel and discipline team membersRecommend promotions, transfers and terminationsEnforce SJJCC policies and proceduresPosition Responsibilities:

Plan and administer tasks regarding camp including launching and tracking registrationPlanning trips, developing programming and activities, family outreach, acting as liaison between the Kehilla Center, Finance and Administrative team, etc.Direct and supervise day-to-day operation of Camp KehillaPlan of day to day scheduleAssist with assessments and enrollment of campersPlan and implement of all staff trainingsPlan and implement open houses and camp clean-up dayCreate and participate in job fairs either in house or at local organizations and schoolsWork with other OPWDD departments during DOH audit and ACA accreditationParticipate in CPR, first aid, epi pen, and SCIP trainingsAdditional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

2years supervisory experience preferably working with children in a school or camp environmentBachelor's degreeLicensed Social Worker or Licensed EducatorExperience working with children with special needsProficient in Microsoft OfficeUnderstanding of OPWDD regulations a plusCommunication skills including strong interpersonal skills with clients, staff and parents, as well as the ability to speak, read and write effectively.Exhibit patience, initiative, enthusiasm, resourcefulness and strong attention to detail.Able to effectively develop, document and implement behavior management protocols.Ability to provide leadership and motivation to staff and work effectively with diverse groups of people.Salary:

$25,000 - $35,000
